Project Description:

Reyes Construction, Inc. provided the resources necessary to perform the Sausalito Yacht Harbor Bulkhead Replacement. The project replaces a 50 year old timber bulkhead with concrete sheet pile wall in an active boat hard. The scope of work included a test pile program and confirmed length of concrete sheet pile, removal and replacement of approximately 800 ft of boardwalk with handrail, replacement of a damage travel lift crane slab, approximately 800 feet of concrete sheet pile (individual sheet pile was 4 ft wide 14 ft thick, and varied in length from 39 ft to 60 ft, replacement of electrical service, various storm drain, water and fire service. Concrete sheet piles were cast off-site and trucked to the job where they were installed with a vibratory hammer and Manitowoc 4000w crane. Control of the sheet pile was accomplished using a job built template made from 14 steel beams.

The project demonstrated RCI skill in working in the waterfront environment and in an area that depends on tourism as their primary source of income. Scheduling of deliveries early in the morning and screening off work areas made the least impact on the tourism to the public in general. Safety is uppermost in this system, which is planned and created by RCI has resulted in no incidents with the public and RCI employees.
We provided Reyes Construction, Inc. with concrete form panels that were manufactured on-site at our yard.
